what signs to look for when buying a used bailey?

Hi all looking at a used bailey 2005 what do i need to check and were to make sure i dont buy a melon? all help appriciated please mark

Stress cracks in front and rear panels. usually i understand, at or near the top.

Take a stool to stand on.

Also damp, take a damp meter. do your own tests.

Other than that the same with any van has it been looked after.

Buy private, check that it has had some service.

save a grand or two.

Hi Mark, First and foremost check out the cris documentation to make sure the person you are buying from is actually the owner.

Sorry if this is a bit obviouse but better to be safe as they say !.

leakage around front window's,check wallboard around the windows & the window ledge on the inside for damp.Mine had water penetration which looked as if the window seals were leaking turned out to be due to faulty mastic along the top of the window hangers

Mark

As Ray said, Stress cracks.

Mines a 2003 Ranger 500/5. I've had both the front and rear panels replaced, luckly under warranty.
