What size Dorema awning. ?

Please can anyone assist me. I have a compass omega 525 awning size 977. Im looking to buy a Dorema awning but dont know the correct size to get the nearest ones are

950-975 size 13 or 975 -1000 size 14. I know the size 14 wil fit but was wondering if the size 13 would as it is cheaper to buy. Hope you understand this

You are comparing the new size with the size of your existing awning. How well does your existing awning match with the actual caravan size? What measurement is given in your handbook or have you measured your ground-to-ground size?

I had the same problem with the near top end of 11 or size 12.

If you are on a slight slope (as most sites are not flat) then with the size 13 you will not have enough awning to reach the ground at one end. Hence following murpheys law that anything cut to length will be too short - I went for the next size up. Last three trips away so far have proved going for the bigger one to be the correct decision.

Other option is to choose better fit from another awning manufacturer.
