Hi,

Could anyone please offer advice on buying a 17" 12volt TV for use in a Caravan,

Your own experiences mean so much more than sales talk from dealers, there seems to be so many unknown makes on the market.

I really want it to have DVD and SD reader card facilities.

Thank you in advance

Why do you want a 12V TV for the 'van? I was only looking at a DMTech in Comet the other day - 17" widescreen - and was surprised to see that it draws 60W - or 5A in 12V money. Your 'van battery won't stand up to that for long!

In which case use sites that have mains and take a mains TV - leaves your options much wider.

For the record we got a 15" Acoustic Solutions with DVD palyer from Argos for

I agree with Andrew, we purchased the said tv from Argos but the 19inc, we find it an excellent picture and well worth the money. We purchased a carry case for it and transport it in the car between two spare pillows.
Jaqui,

Where did you get your carry case from? I've got the same tv bu so far can't find a case for it
