I'm at around 91%.
Car 1663kg.
Caravan 1565kg.

But the car has a towbar at around 21kg, and a full size spare wheel at around 27kg on top off the 1663kg kerbweight.

car about 1.5 tons
van about 1 ton
about 2/3 or 66%
( i see no need to work it out to two decimal places! and I make a point to try and avoid as far as I can anything to do with Kilograms or their horrid SI chums!

I tow a 2000 Bailey Magenta c/w a lightweight awning with a Vauxhall Vector Estate TDi.

Car doesn't t even know the 'van is hitched up when towing.

Ratio probably about 60% or thereabouts.

And the outfit returns around 35mpg.

Impressive amount of data building up Prof. Are you going to extract some conclusions? If this is propping up one of your student's PhD's.; we had better all get a mention in the acknowledgements. :)

Thank you Mel,
I'll let you into a secret if you promise not to tell, The Post Grads are working out if its possible to have a fully stocked bar in a caravan to save disappointment on Sundays in Wales, and for all those readers rallies, and especially the Woosies meets. The first important finding has been that as alcohol is less dense than water both the water heaters and the toilet tanks can carry a few hangovers full of liquor.

I will ensure you all get mentioned.
