Years ago our first caravan came with press studs fitted, and the wheel arch cover fitted on to them, since then I have been reluctant to fit studs on the side of the caravan, and have resorted to velcro, which was good once, and then useless once it got wet,my latest attempt is to use gaffer tape and that is OK until the skirt moves in the wind, has anybody found a way to keep the wheel arch cover attached to the caravan, without drilling holes in the van,or buying the systems like Bailey sell. All I want is to keep the wheel covered and the draught out of the awning.

Put metal eyelets (3 for a single axle) in the top edge of the cover and then hold against the van using 'rubber' suckers with metal hooks. You can get the suckers with plastic hooks but the hooks are less durable than the metal ones.

We bought a thing called a draught stoppa. Basically a rigid piece of corrugated plastic with a bit of figure of 8 tubing, a hook and all attached by a velcro strap. The plastic stands aganst the wheel arch, the velcro strap holds it to the wheel, the figure of 8 tubing hooks onto the velcro and the beading of the draught skirt goes through the tubing. Expensive for what it was and you could probably make one more cheaply if you were even the slightest bit handy. We're not (the slightest bit handy) so paid up. If you google it (or sprocket posts the link) you will see how it goes together; really isn't rocket science.
