Went to get the caravan from storage last Monday but due to cold weather lock was frozen. poured hot water on it but no luck. Then key broke in the lock.
Called out a locksmith who's drill bits would not touch the lock. He phoned his suppliers who suggested a drill bit that they use on bank safes and strong rooms. The supplier was only 15 minutes away in Colchester so off he went. He came back saying "this will go through the lock like a knife through butter". It would not touch the lock.
Decided that a caravan with a wheel lock attached was no use to me so agreed to have an angle grinder used to take the legs off. Two hours, three battery packs and two discs later wheel clamp was in three pieces with me £180 out of pocket.
The clamp was a Milenco heavy duty one. Do I buy the same again and hope I have no more problems or go for a cheaper camp ?
