Just thought I'd repost this in here as not had much of a response in catergory; Insurance etc

Currently use the slipover/wrap around type (think its a milenco)

where the key barrel faces outwards although it does push in when locked.

Now on checking my insurance policy it states;

Propietory wheelclamp (high security integral lock projecting into the recessed well on the inside of the wheel).

Can someone tell me what type/make it should be.

Thanks for any help folks.

Hi Gagakev, I think your insurance is stipulating the Alko wheel clamp which bolts through the wheel into a receiver on the chassis.

To my mind, the well at the back of the wheel means that the clamp loops behind the tyre and then up over the wheel behind. Effectively it will clamp round the wheel before you lock it.

Thanks for the replies, Phil did as you suggested and rang the insurance company, guess what, they dont supply a list or recommend

a certain make!!!

They suggested I visit my dealer to see whats on offer!!!!!

So of I trot and all the clamps they have (Insurance approved etc) have external locks and all the ones that go through the wheels are only able to be fitted to alloy wheels (mine are steel, fitted with trims).

Think I'll stick with what I've got and take the chance, it was insurance approved when I bought it.
