wheels/tyres

hi guy`s.. can anyone help with advice. i have a peugeot 406 hdi 2.0 with 235/45/18 wheel/tyres fitted.. with they be ok to tow a lunar clubman 4 berth ?

don't think it realy matters what size are on your car,the manufacturers take that in to account based on weight/speed rating etc as long as there legal[tread depth etc]are the tyres the original spec?

the tyres are aftermarket non standard fitment, on 18 inch alloy wheels, i am not sure if they are suitable for towing a caravan

if the tyres were fitted by a reputable company they would not have under-rated the speed rating[t or h or v etc] or the weight, although this is less of an issue with cars because the weight is multiplied by 4 as opposed to 2 for single axle 'vans,i realy don't think you'll have a problem although i'm sure there are a lot of people who tow 'vans with low profile tyres on there cars, keep posted they may respond soon!!!

Low profile tyres generally give better grip and stability because there's less sideways flex in the tyre sidewall. The down side is a harsher ride.

The standard tyre for your car was 195/65 R15 91H. The 235/45 R18 tyres fitted should have Load Index 94, which is fine as it's higher.
