Which gas BBQ would you recommend, normally use propane, we don't have a BBQ socket on the caravn so would use a small propane bottle on a normal length of hose.

thoughts are Cadac, Beau Clair or any others that you may suggest

thanks

Our friends have a Camping Gaz Camping Kitchen Extra which is great as it is actually a 2 burner stove with a grill plate that fits over the top to make a fairly large gas barbeque. As it has 2 burners, you can control each side of the grill independently. It comes complete with a stand and the carry bag forms a larder-like area underneath it when assembled. This is the type we'll be buying in the spring for our new caravan as it can also be used as a conventional stove for outdoor cooking making it very versatile. I've found them on the internet for around

I'm happy (well almost) to pay good money because we use the BBQ mostdays while we are away. My point was realy to establish opinions on more than just a BBQ. I like th eidea of the camping gaz thingy. Will that run off propane or is it dedicated to camping gaz containers ?

The cadac system appears to give several different options, but Beau Clair is probably dearer for similar or even fewer options.

If we plump for the cadac system where is the best place to buy from ? I live in Peterborough ?

Hi Neil,

Sorry I can,t advise where to buy in your area as we are in the republic of Cheshire, but I would recommend the Cadac! We have used one for the past 6 years and found it great and versitile coping with all BBQ needs and general cooking. My wife is a Vegi and loves the skottle wok and the unit is great for the old English heart pulper. A good bit of kit that Cadac have put a lot of thought into. We run on Calor propane or camping Gaz butane on a direct systen and just change hoses and regs to suite.

Bon appite

Rob and Nicky

Oops, meant to do the above as a reply to your question Neil. Reply relates to the Camping Gas Camp Kitchen extra but I'm pretty sure most of the Gas barbeques mentioned work on the same basis i.e. any Gas with correct fittings.

hi Neal,

towsure have good deals on cadacs if you fancy your chances on getting one without the dents!i have one and they do work well, depending what you cook on it because fatty foods make a right mess as the feet sit in the fat collector.i think my next one will be a small weber one as they have a foil tub to catch the fat so are self cleaning (not cheap though...or light!).

regards,

Dave.

I was interested in a Cadac last year but, in the end, I bought a Weber Q200 gas BBQ. Very pleased with it. As Dave has said, neither cheap nor light but beautifully manufactured. Ours came with the collapsible rolling cart which is also well made. We paid about

Neil, We have the cadac but for two people in my opinion you just can't beat the throwaways. absolutely no mess to clean up but you need the metal rack to keep it off the ground. Only thing is you see a lot of noses turned up......
