Just looking to get a set of 4 jack pads for my Bailey Pageant to stop the legs from sinking into the driveway and on soft ground sites. There seems to be a few on the market, can anyone shed any light on the different types and what may be the best for my van?

Hi Tugster, have a look at these. I have them on my van, the third van they have been on. I leave them on so I have no messing about when I arrive on site or when I leave , they are designed for that purpose. They are available from Towsure as

hi all

I would not bother with the commercialy produced ones especialy the ones that are perminantly attached to the legs as the plastic rod that goes through the btm of the leg gets brittle and breaks when used on uneven surfaces.

I find a better solution is to use 4x9in square 3/4in marine or exterior ply wood slabs that can be kept in the front locker when not in use.

You need to be careful, I bought some from Argos and they had a wee problem in that the plastic rods would not slide through the bottom of the legs. The pads were big enough just could not get the pins through so I solved two problems by using 100mm M8 bolts and Nylok nuts. The bolt goes through the bottom feet and the bolts don't sheer like the plastic pins. The securing clips for the plastic pins was not inspiring too flimsy for my liking.

Hope this helps.
