I can't believe I'm answering this with 12 mins to go before midnight, but yes, as long as you are on ehu of 10 or 16 amp you should be fine. However, before switching on the kettle, make sure you have other high usage items switched off first or you'll blow the furse.

Maybe his kettle is fursed up Lisa....?

We use a small travel kettle which boils quite enough for three cups of tea, but most low wattage domestic kettles do the job fine.

Trouble is, it's hard to find low wattage domestic kettles at a reasonable price, most being 2.2Kw (around 10 amps)and could result in overloading the power supply if other appliances are on. Most caravan shops sell low wattage kettles (750 - 1,000 watts) but these are considerably dearer than domestic kettles found at Tesco etc.

We bought our 1,000 watt kettle in France for 19 Euros. A 750w kettle for example:
