On our new van (1480kg Bailey Pegasus), we have been offered 2 choices of brand new mover for the same price.

Either a Truma Mover S or a Powrtouch 3.

Does anyone have a preference as to which one they would choose?

We currently have a 3 year old Powrtouch that has been OK, and Powrtouch's after sales have been pretty good, but should I stick with the known product, or try the Truma?

What model truma ? & do they do the five year guarantee same as powrtouch....

I have a powrtouch 3 on mine MTPLM 1600kg & it copes with ease....

I saw a big twin axle sterling brand new at the dealers on Saturday, it had a Reich 4 wheel drive one fitted, could not believe how low to the floor they are when fitted, clip a high kerb & bang goes a drive unit.

Hello

If I only had the choice between them to it would be the truma s, everyday, not that it matters because truma own powrtouch!!

But I do have a e-go just been fitted at the moment which i'm happy with. Regarding the 5 year guarantee just watch the name change every couple of years, thats why powrtouch doen't have a R init!!! Then guarantee is void!!!!

Hope this helps. Stephen

Why don't you just get your dealer to move your current mover onto your new van - ours is doing this for no charge using a powrtouch fitter - you might be able to get this as part of the deal or even if you have to pay it might be worth it

Steven, I got a powrtouch, mover which went wrong after 4 years of a 5 year warrenty, unlike your response the whole of the moters and metalwork was changed without quibble within a week of my contacting them. Your rsponse was unfare unless you got anything to substantiate your comments

I can only go on what happen to me.

I found them very hard to deal with!! not helpfull, not friendly. But that might just be me!

I'm guessing Kevin you might work for powrtouch due to your response or i've just got on the wrong side of you, which I didn't want to do. So if I have i'm sorry.

I agree that Powrtouch have excellent aftersales backup (I have had to call them out this morning, lets hope it can get sorted before Ester when we need the van...), we found out what a nightmare moving the van without a mover is!!!

I too was surprised by your comments. The Actuating handle socket broke . Within 24 hours Powrtouch had sent me a replacement. Loads of apologies on the phone.

What more can I ask for. 10 out of 10 for me.

Also like Trucker, I don't work for them.

Cheers

They are coming out to fix my three year old mover next week that has just gone faulty. Can't fault the service, but this is not the first issue we have had with it. I am still in a quandry.
