Does anyone know of anywhere near the above that will be open, Looking for a nice cold Feb half term with lots of fish and chips !!! Everywhere I have seen does not open until March... wimps !!!!!!!!

I have no experience of sites near Whitby/Robin Hoods Bay but have you considered Scarborough? Similar to Whitby but bigger . Mind you with the coastal erosion they suffer from (remember the hotel that slid down the cliffs 10 years ago or so ? ) just don't park up too close to the edge !

I live in the area and as far as I am aware none of the parks around the Whitby/Robin Hoods Bay area are open in Feb. As Mike says you are better off looking nearer Scarborough, the best I can probably suggest this time of year is St Helens at Wykeham on the A170 between Scarborough and Pickering. Alternatively the caravan club site at White Water Stockton is open all year and the drive to Whitby and the north yorkshire moors isn't to far from there. Richard S

Richard suggests White Water at Stockton . Living near there I know it is well short of fish and chippies and the evening atmosphere of the North Yorkshire coast . Sorry to be so negative . . . . . .
