I was digging the car out of the snow at 6:30 this morning to go to work. I managed to get to the main road (dual carriageway), which was in a terrible state, so only travelling at 15 mph. The road has a slight downhill section at traffic light, which has a 'red light' camera. On approaching the lights they went to amber so I started braking. You guessed it - all wheels locked and lost traction on the snow and the car travelled a further 20 yards or so, causing the camera to flash 'cos I went through on red.
Finally got to work, only to be told an hour or so later that the site was closing due to the bad weather and everybody had to go home.
Now back home with the roads still bad. No ploughs, no gritters??
Suppose I will have to play on my laptop all day.
