Why do non-caravanners always say that it is people with caravans who congest the roads when i mainly find when i`m towing i usually get stuck behind the many arctic lorries who hug the two inside lanes of most motorways and as they are restricted to 56 mph, hold us up. Have a go at them for a change all you Clarksons out there its getting a bit boring now

Why Us......Because

We know Caravanners are'nt the main cause for holdups on the road

We like winding up Jeremy Clarkson and his disciples

We like having a pop at the "boy racers"

We are considerate motorists (well usually!)

etc, etc, etc.

However,

We don't all ensure our outfit is a suitable match

We don't all have cars that are man enough to do the job

We don't always consider other motorists

We don't always keep up to the traffic flow

etc, etc, etc.

So to be a caravanner you need broad shoulders, not just for pushing the van on the pitch, and we don't really give a fig about what others might think about us because we all get tarred with the same brush anyway....nothing changes!

As you raise your head to the sky and ask "OH GOD WHY ME ??" you shouldn't expect anything more than the reply "AND WHY NOT ??"

But I wouldn't be so quick to divert the attention onto the lorry drivers of this world, you are correct that their vehicles are restricted by law. However If you could look more towards the people who crawl up the hills until you have slowed to their speed at which point they choose to deploy 200 BHP and leave you stranded and taking the blame.Or the multitude of motorists sleeping on the job, sight seeing etc.etc. Then feel free to go ahead.

This has also raised another question the answer to which i have never understood If you have in excess of 40 BHP per tonne and a trailer weighing in between one and two tonne's why do so many people seem to want to get out and push it on site ?? Is it some kind of Macho thing perhaps? if so I must be considered as something of a whoose, opting for the easy answer and letter the wonders of Internal conbustion do the hard work.

The added bonus here is that you can also get away with having sloping shoulders.Which I find to be a distinct advantage given that I'm out numbered 3 to 1 by girlies.

Regards Brian.......

Quote So to be a caravanner you need broad shoulders,

And sometimes you need to have scaffolding built on them broad shoulders to carry even more of the blame.
