Because I'm with BT Option 3 I get free unlimited wifi with BT Openzone and its partners and BT Fon so I couldn't justify the cost of subscribing to another service :O(

Not all sites have mobile access either so if I did pay

I still maintain that GPRS is best for sending and receiving emails whist abroad. I use Orange but I am sure that the other providers are similar. As long as you can get a mobile signal you can receive and send emails. Don't use it for surfing..... expensive!

Orange give you a dedicated email address for free which I only use when on holiday. As only friends and family know the address I don't get any spam or "joke" emails.

You can use most modern phones as a modem connected to a laptop as they are usually always GPRS enabled. I bought a sony erricson for

Mine came today Andrew. I charged the battery up and went outside to test it. Guess what? It found one straight away :O)

Then I realised it was my own ... doh!!!!!!!!!

i bought one too L.B. works well .if you are on "home hub" it will show your hub and if you press next it should show your hub Fon conection as openzone but it will show it as unsecured. it also shows "house base and remote phones and lots of things
