Hi everyone, we always take our 2 grandchildren away in summer for a couple of weeks, they are aged 12 and 8 and want a site that is pretty commercial, not my first choice but we do these things for the youngsters, we've found a Haven site nr Gt Yarmouth called wild duck park, it ticks all the boxes for what the grandchildren want and I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience of this park, any info good or bad would be much appreciated.

We go to the Wild Duck on a regular basis. As you say it is a commercial park but would be ideal for the grandchildren. It is set in woodland and if you are lucky you may see deer in the woods.
It has both indoor and out door pools and has childrens clubs. Entertainment for adults is available in the evenings In the indoor pool they have those large ball things that children go inside and they also have what look a bit like a jet ski but they are for use under the water
Depending on the time of year they also have childrens archery and other outdoor activities.
Pitches are grass and at times can be very wet as the soil is sand. The toilet and shower block is average but acceptable.Attendants are on duty most of the day keeping them clean.
Great Yarmouth is only about 10 minutes away by car
It is not everybodies cup of tea but the grandchildren will love it and be worn out when it comes to bed time

We spent a week there last October, yes the pitches can be a bit boggy but it was October, the weather was wet, and the toilet attendant always kept on top of the cleaning in the toilets, there is a play area and a outside playing court, for football, basketball,if you follow your sat nav you will think you have gone wrong, when your on top of the site, as the entrance is in the middle of a row of houses.
The down side was we thought the pool was a little on the dirty side, on the times we went. The club house was always full (school half term ) There a nice little chippy in the first village you come to when leaving the camp travelling to Gt Yarmouth, not far from the set of traffic lights on the left.
