Wild rose park. Cumbria

Hi Martyn

I usually stop there each June (Appleby Horse Fair week), the site is packed to full capacity then. All the facilities are kept immaculately clean, plenty of room between pitches. They have a shop which stocks basic caravanning equipment, food, newspapers, alcohol etc all reasonably priced. There is a takeaway which is reasonably priced too. Also has a cafe but I haven't tried that so can't comment.

Outdoor pool which is a bit on the cold side but is clean and well kept.

Decent children's play area.

I think it's a really nice place, pitch prices are pricey in my opinion (only been at high season) but well worth it.

Hope the above helps.

Hi Martyn,

We have been to wild rose a nomber of times and are back there in August.

It's a very clean and well kept park with a good set of park rules.

The wardens show you to your pitch on a golf buggy in between tending the flowers and cleaning the toilets.

The park is in several 'areas' Braithwait fold being our favorite. Hazel heights is nice also but try and stay away from chesters challenge as it is right next to the play park and on all gravel pitches.

The shop is good and the restaraunt/takeaway are very good and not too expensive.

The pool is central and in good order.

Overall a good park.........however , the prices are a bit higher than usual but i'm sure you will not be dissapointed.

John
