Have broken not one but two window arms today ( she who must be obeyed won't let me forget it either), and can't work out how to replace them. The bits attached to the window frame are held in with two cross head screws , thats not difficult, but how do i swap over the parts that are fixed to the window itself are they stuck screwed , do they slide , is there a grub screw or something holding it in place - Avondale Dart 2003 - How stupid am I ???

some body give me help to repair them and save another ear bashing from my dearly beloved !
Neil, sorry you seem to have asked the ultimate question!

However, as far as I can recall they should be screwed to the window, probably withthe screw heads covered by a shroud of ome kind, but if all else fails, ring Avondale and ask the guys in the workshop,,i am certain they will be able to exactly how to effect the repair

Hello Neil. Where the arm fits to the widow there is a small hole in the underside of the plastic. Insert a small screwdriver(really small!)and depress the spring. The bracket will then slide off the widow leaving another piece screwed to the widow(leave this on if changing arm.
