Window internal trim

Today discovered that on one window in the caravan the internal trim has come away.

Having looked at it my idea to put it back in place is to apply some gentle heat to make it more pliable and then see if I can gently push it back in - any advice would be most appreciated.
It’s a Bailey Unicorn Valencia 2017 and we are away in it for 10 days at the end of the month to Old Oaks site nr Glastonbury.

It’s a plastic insert that fits in groves in between inner and outer seals hiding the fittings, (staples). Your method might work. However, if the trim has shrunk a bit, then it might not. Removing the stays might make life easier. But if it comes to it, just replace the trim completely.

(Better prices elsewhere).

You can get a tool to help, but I don’t think it is necessary.

That is great information, thanks very much - yet another example of why this forum is so good.

I won't bother trying to refit it but will just buy some more once I've measured up and fit myself - DIY is not my strong point ( Captain Chaos) but I reckon even I can manage this - think I will have to open the window to get to the screws for the window latch to remove it first though.

Now.....where's my lump hammer:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

You may find it could shrink as mentioned above also it could crack/crinkle because it looses it's suppleness .From experience it's not to bad of a job to replace Good luck. Gary
