Window locks

I have just purchased a caravan with fixed bunks, each bunk having its own window. Unfortunately my 3 year old opens her window and attempts to escape! I have tightened the window stays but to no avail! Can anyone offer any suggestions to deter my budding Houdini?

Windows too close to gas outlets and front windows on older budget vans weren't opening - they used a small fitting which screwed to window and frame instead of the opening catches. I converted an earlier Ace to opening windows - it should be possible to buy the fittings to convert the other way.

Not sure if they are available in many camp shops but :-

How about a pair of handcuffs and a length of chain. Saves damaging the caravan !! What happened to the Christmas Spirit, Lol.

Sorry Bored, East Enders is on.

The fixed windows on my old van had a 1 inch by 1 inch L shaped galvanised steel bracket available from any Diy store like B&Q, Wickes. These were in place of the window stays.

Fixed for less than a quid and easily put right when the Kids are bigger.

You could undo or loosen the catches on the frame and put a tie wrap between the screws, re-tighten and fasten the tie wrap to hold the catch closed.
