Hubby is talking about buying one of those covers for our Swift Charisma 220 to protect it over the winter. What we cant figure out is what do you do about the Status aerial. Do the covers come with a special bit or do you have to take the aerial off.

Would welcome advice from anyone who uses a cover.

Linda, if you get the Protec cover, it is made with an aerial pocket which goes over the aerial, but you have to remove the spike first, leaving the smooth flat dome.

i've had amade to measure pro-tec cover for both of my caravans and would recommend them. certainly if you look out of the window on a winters day and see the van covered in melting snow, the cover is a great comfort. As previous replies have said, the protec cover will allow a space for the aerial, heater vent, sky light etc.

The only slight reservation i've found is that they can slightly scour the acrylic windows, but this is very minor and polishes out easily with some fenwick acrylic window polish
