Winter fridge vents

I am in the process of changing my caravan from one fitted with a Dometic fridge to a newer one with a Thetford fridge. I have used winter vents on the Dometic, and wondered if I should do the same on the Thetford. If so, are they easy to obtain?
Thanks,
Paul

Yes! and like everything made as an extra for us caravanners, they cost £14 each for what is just a couple of bits of plastic!!! And to make sure you need to keep buying them, they are easy for someone to steal!!!!

………I have found after many years of experimentation and many long continental towing trips that the performance of a caravan fridge operating on 12 volts can be improved by fitting winter fridge vent covers.
I conclude that without the covers the airflow whilst undertow is such as to over cool the absorption heat exchanger hindering its efficiency.

This is easy to try for yourself if you have suffered poor fridge performance whilst towing.
