Last March & April we enjoyed a retirement holiday spending 10 days in Portugal and then travelling back along the mediterranean into France. We are considering a similar holiday from Mid-February and March 2010 but do not want so much travelling. How far down the Costa's would we need to go to be reasonably sure of good weather. Alternatively what chance of decent weather on the French med. or even Italy. There appears to be only one Camping Cheques site open all year round in North Italy - Villaggio dei Fiori - near San Remo. Has anyone experience of this site particularly at that time of year please?

Don't expect consistantly good weather along the French Med. coast. You'll get the odd nice day but some very wet ones. As far as Spain is concerned, you'll need to go at least to Valencia, then southwards. Don't know much about Italy, other than at Venice - and that is usually worse than UK. Rain, fog and cold.
