I have used the Rob stop for the last couple of years on our Elddis and have found it to be very easy to use. I don't use it while towing for safety and because it's so easy to fit IF we are leaving the van unattended whilst hitched up it only takes seconds to attach. while it's not in use it's easy to store due to size and weight.

Having had the Al-Ko hitchlock on my last caravan, and now having the Winerhoff Rob Stopm I must say that I prefer the Winterhoff.

It is very easy to put on, much more substantial than the Al-Ko offering and as far as I can see, impossible to remove without doing a huge amount of damage to the hitch.

Thanks that's very reassuring as is Jasper's experience of this hitch lock. We've just bought an Elddis from a number of Bailey's and Alko gear. Seems Elddis have switched to Winterhoff V swing chassis despite Alko's new stability device.

With the right tools they can be split apart with no damge to the hitch, but all locks are the same so all you can do is make it difficult.Dont rely on just one items fit several.

Elldis have been using the BPW chassis for a few years, they have their own version of the stabilty device too.
