All the best, my sister just took it, she said the hardest part was remembering to click the mouse button again after the hazard had become safe again, seemingly you have to click when you see a hazard and again when it becomes safe.

No I disagree you click as you see a hazard and again if you see it developing.

Thanks Lisa should be no problem unless mind goes blank,a bit like it does on the third bottle of vin rouge.

I have tried every supermarket HO and cash and carries nobody stocks it.

Yes test date is a bit of a pain as there was half a chance I could have hooked the van up and had a long weekend.Nevermind getting a licence is more important I suppose.

hi, dont click when the hazard has gone as this will just use up youre clicks on that clip, the hazard has to be a developing hazard not just a hazard ,when you will have to take action ,brake ,stop ,or change direction, remember you will get 2 hazards in one of your clips. try to use a practice disc cost about

the hazard perception test [H.P.T.)is part of the theory test for learner drivers first part is questions pass mark is 30 out of 35 ,hpt is 45 out of 75, this test must be taken if you are adding any new group of vehicle to you licence, the pass mark is changing in september of this year,i hate to say but rumour is that you might have to take this test when your licence needs renewing. ie,every 10 years. a nice little earner for I.R.

Hi

I took the hazard perception test last week for my HGV and PCV licence. Best advice is to click whenever you see anything you think may cause you to take anykind of action as a driver (ie slow down, brake, move out, turn etc.) Dont be afraid to click more than once at each hazard as you might have seen it before the 'computer' thinks you should, so by clicking again you will score as the 'hazard' becomes more important.

Thanks everyone the test I am taking is part 1 driving instructor,Colin you are out of date you can click as many times as you like(no Limit)so long as the system does not think you are clicking rhythmicaly. The pass mark is 57 from 85 so long as you have at least 20% in each of the four sections.I should have been getting ready for part 3 by now but messed about by BSM and the DSA.

Lord B. my marriage licence cast me 7/6d. - the same as a dog licence. The only difference was that a dog licence had to be renewed each year. Marraige is like a hire purchase agreement - 7/6d. deposit and your pay packet every week for the rest of your life.

Just read back COLIN there is not a maximum number of clicks after the hazard you can click as many times as you like as long as it is not " you have clicked in an unacceptable manor" . Remember it might be the double hazard the next clip. Did you have to get 55 out of 75 cos when I did mine last year we had to get 57 out of 75

Read even more Colin where are you getting your facts from It's 44 out of 75 and from Sept you have to get 43 out of 75 thats all that is chaging and your liecece is valid until you are 70 the 10 year part is just because tour photo needs updating and you do not have to resit anything after 10 years

The plotter i assume youare training to become an approved ADI. I am an instructor trainer running a driving school. be sure to get quality training for parts 2 and 3. some of the large outfits that require you to pay large upfront payments are very poor training providers.

i unfortunately give rescue training for many casualties.

the hazard test requires you to to click developing hazards. ok again DEVELOPING hazards. eg a girl on the path is a hazards so you would click once at this point if she begins to walk towards the road now it is developing continue clicking at split second intervals until you are on top. as a guide 4 times on your way up to the hazard.

the main reason i advise 4 times is so you dont mis the clicking window. sometimes the clicking window opens far too late and often missed.

i have never had a trainee fail.

if you ever need more info i would gladly give you my email address.

Cheers yes I am doing the training with BSM but as I said before because of the restructure which now is not happening and the DSA I have been waiting since February to get my ref no to apply for Part 1,I have practiced on their disc for the HPT and the theory and always come out well into pass mark,so should be ok although not sure if their click window is the same as the DSA one.

After being a driver for 40 years it is interesting getting back to driving the correct way but at least speed cameras are no longer a concern!

my guess is you will be taking a trainee licence. make sure they cover the full syllabus for the 40hours part3 required for the trainee licence. then a further 20hrs within 3months on holding the licence.

don't let them flack you. i am training a BSM guy at the moment and he just didnt understand about lesson structure.

Plotter, a BSM instructor once asked me "what does BSM stand for" and his answer was "Bring Some Money" which you will probably already have found out. Good luck with it all and keep us informed of your progress.
