Withernsea

Yeah been to park resorts at withernsea 2 years ago now park was getting done up new pool and entertainment complex park nice but got very crowded at weekends.Touring pitches weren't marked out very well tent's and van's pitched up any where.

We stayed there last year when we went on the Swift factory tour. As Dale has said, the caravans and tents were pitched up any old how, the toilet block was from the dark ages and the showers which were in a portakabin, were filthy.

Park resorts have spent a lot of money building their entertainment complex and swimming pool and its a pity that they didn't allocate funds for new shower blocks and toilets. The park caters for a lot of statics, so of course they don't need these ameneties.

In Park Resorts favour, we found the staff to be friendly and helpful and on price they were unbeatable.

Hi Gary,

I stayed about 5 times there last year (I live in East Hull so it's perfect for us!). The complex is nice and new (if a little pricey and small - it's unsuitable for busy periods).

The pitches are very uneven - and a little close together but the warden was very flexible and went out of his way to make getting in and set up easy.

The toilet blocks are prehistoric but were always spotless and the showers in the portakabin were very clean.

We only stayed out of peak season (we didn't get the caravan till august) so it may get dirtier in peak season but from what I have seen I would unreservedly recommend it - I've booked again this year.

But they could do to go over the pitches with a roller a bit! it's pretty uneven - take wheel chocks and you should be fine.

Hi Paul

I was born and brought up in East Hull but moved further up north when I got married. We still visit Hull regularly as my family and friends are there.
