Am thinking of booking this site for a week in August. We will have our daughter, husband and grandkids (3 & 5) with us, in their tent. Any experiences of the site (partucularly toilet block) and local things to do wolud be appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

We've been a couple of times and really enjoyed it (can't say what the facilites were like - don't use them, but the building was nearly new and I would have expected them to be of club standard), the site is situated around a pond, one area wooded and a grassed area for campers and those who like to be in the open - the site is well off any main roads so nice and quiet.

There is plenty of walks off site, nature trails etc, Woodhall Spa is a nice town with a few shops and a Budgen supermarket. For a slightly larger town Horncastle is definately worth a visit, as is Lincoln for the castle and cathedral, museum at RAF Coningsby, then you will have the coastal towns, Skegness and Mabelthorpe, all a short drive away.

Yes, thanks Wendy. Just waiting to confirm dates as son in law had a "hic-up" with works holidays. There are advantages to being retired! .......That's right, only have to get permission from kids!!
Thanks again,
Paul
