It is with deep sadness that I have to report the passing of our loyal and valued friend Mr Graham Sheppard a.k.a. Woodlands Camper.
Graham had bravely fought ill health for some time, and he passed peacefully away on the morning of Saturday 17th February 2018.
I know that forumites will join me in offering sincere condolences to Graham's widow, Joan and to Angela and Peter.
Graham has been a loyal and helpful member of this caravan forum since it's early beginnings, he has created a legacy of good information which will add to our sum total of caravan knowledge.
Having had the pleasure of meeting Graham personally on several occasions I can truly state that he was a wonderful kind hearted gentleman, always with a ready smile and a friendly word.
We shall miss him.

.......that is very sad news.

Graham was a very keen Woosie and as such will always be remembered with fondness by the rest of us.
We had some great times at the meets and Graham was always very kind and helpful to me.
I shall remember Graham at he was at the Wallingford Woosie meet last May.......cheerful, friendly and full of life.

I will think of you Graham every time I look at the Woosie Club topic.

To Joan, Angela and Peter, Graham was a wonderful man who we will all remember with great fondness.
When I was in a very dark and dismal place, this forum, the Woosies and all Graham stood for helped me through to a new and different life.

He helped immensely when I needed a laugh to help me through the days and nights that were grim. For this I will always be grateful and will never forget the part Graham played in getting me back on my feet.

Graham fell ill last July and sadly it just went from bad to worse. He was very disappointed he missed the autumn Woosiefest. He was an avid caravanner, a stickler for accuracy , could be feisty, even a keyboard warrior at times but guess who made the effort to find answers to forumites questions :kiss: Graham wore his Woosie shirt with great pride. He actually made up his own transfers on the back of his shirt showing each location of every Woosiefest over the years. He and Joan never missed one :cheer:
Terri and I were fortunate enough to have met up with Graham and Joan a few weeks ago. He knew what was coming and was fearless to the end. We shall all miss him and his sense of humour which made so many of the Woosiefests such good fun.
We will go to the funeral in our Woosie shirts He'd like that. B) You will see from his Avatar he maintained his adolescent style of bog side humour which of course is all about how the Woosies were started by Graham aka Sir WC.
He contributed 3,777 posts and received 500 thank yous. A true credit to an ardent caravanner and Woosie.
We will certainly have a good toast to Graham at this autumn's Woosiefest at Woodthorpe. I know Graham would wish to be there ...Travel well our lovely friend :kiss:

As this years current King 'Woosie the 7th.' and Graham you having been the first (or was it second?) However seems along while ago now. Thank you Graham for giving us the chance to caravan with you and Joan and all the other friends and acquaintances we've made from all over this country, people we couldn't have possibly met up with without your idea. Thanks because you thought of it, (being a Woosie is not a disrespectful title, far from it , it's one we wear with pride), and long may it continue. We will have a drink to you at this years 'fest' and remember you there. Can I endorse every sentiment that has been expressed on the previous posts by all. Sorry we can't make it for your final 'trip'. and sincere condolences to Joan and your family. RIP Graham it was a privilege to have known you.

Just to let you know, as I see the Woosies are asking:
We are requesting family flowers only, with donations in lieu going to Newport Scout & Guide Gang Show and / or the St David’s Foundation Charity, our local Hospice at Home service, who’s nurse called on us regularly and was available on the end of the phone whenever we needed her. (cheques payable to Newport Gang Show and / or St David’s Foundation.)
Please could you pass this on. I will let you have funeral director’s details later if you like. I’ll talk to them tomorrow when they come as to how they want to handle it.
If you have any suggestions from your end, please make we aware.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Graham (Woodlands Camper) personally, he replied with many helpful tips and advice on many occasions to my questions on the forum and for that I will always be grateful.

My sincere condolences to Graham's wife and his family, my thoughts go out to you.
