Hi, I am just looking to see if anyone who currently holidays in a caravan or motorhome here in the UK, would ever be interested in booking a motorhome holiday to USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand to name the main spots.

The reason I ask is that I Caravan myself with my family, however for my day job I am a Personal Travel Consultant working for a small independant travel agency, offering people great customer service without any pushy sales rubbish, arranging anything from a package holiday to Spain, a city break in Rome, a fabulous family holiday in Florida, to a full round the world cruise.

I understand I cant advertise myself on this forum, however I am in the process of looking at producing a marketing campaign, all about motorhome and flydrive holidays around the world, and i'd like as much feed back as possible from like minded people who love this type of holiday, as to whether or not they'd consider booking motorhome holiday to the likes of Australia, USA or Canada for example, and if so would they consider using a travel agent like me to arrange everything for them, Flights, motorhome hire, and any other accommodation needed for the trip.

I would like to aim my campaign at the UK's Caravan and Motorhome folk like me and you.

Please add any comments here you wish, i'd love to hear from you, and depending on peoples response will depend how I move forward with my campaign idea.

Many Thanks

Andrew.

Hi Andrew

A couple of years ago we considered hiring a motorhome in New Zealand. The Company I approached sent me a comprehensive itinerary with excellent colour photographs. We decided against the trip due to it being more expensive than we wanted to spend at that time. The idea of peace of mind of a Company organizing such a trip would be uppermost in our minds, so if you were competative and appeared to offer a good service, then yes, we would definitely consider such a trip. Good luck.

I would love to do a motorhome trip in USA,or Canada.but the prices quoted are far to expensive & do not include site,or fuel costs & the you have to buy your food ect, I have done caribean cruises with top class company's with full entertainment & top class food & services for less money than those quoted for motorhome trips

We did this in New Zealand in January 2007 and had the most fantastic holiday ever. We have just booked the same to Vancouver and the Rockies for June 2010. Both of these were booked via the C&CC Carefree programme. They do escorted or individual travel. We wanted to travel unescorted and have had excellent service from Carefree but they do not book your sites or arrange a route so we had to do a lot of the planning ourselves. They are there on the end of the phone if there are any problems though and provide lots of information to help plan the holiday.

I think that if you were offering a service for unescorted travel and would plan a route and book the sites people who were unsure about doing this themselves but didn't want an escorted tour may be very interested.

If you want to know anything else about our holiday ask away!!
