Xmas break in the Lake District

Can anyone recommend a good site for xmas in the Lakes? Close to Windermere with plenty of walking but lively enough to enjoy the festivities??
 
We just retured from c&cc site at Windermere, had some posters up for xmas lunch/parties etc, pub and shop on site clean shower/toilet block and plenty of wals to do.
