Well just returned from a 5 night stay in the van for xmas, 1st time away in the van at xmas and we loved it, so much we have booked for next year. So peaseful and quiet.

the vans on site were all done out with lights tinsle, and lit farther xmas and snowmen outside, it was fab.

We only had a little tree inside so next year we need to do some serious decorating.

If anybody was thinking about going away for xmas do it its great. The site was 1/2 full (only 1/2 site open So full

from before xmas through past new year.

Hi Kevin, the people pitched next to us at the CL we were at have been away for Christmas for the last 12 years. They have a get together a week or so before Christmas with their family then head off in their van. Like us, they bought a 2 berth so they have time together without passengers :O)

WE did the same, had five nights away for Christmas, and loved every minute.

We took a few decs, but decided if we are to do it again next year, we will get some outside decorations.

Unfortunately though, we did have two freeloaders who had Christmas lunch with us, and, stayed the night, but I think we enjoyed ourselves more because we weren't tired and lethargic through being shut in a stuffy house.

We will definately be booking for next year, with New Year as well! :O)

Wendy ,sorry we didn't meet up and no everyone it wasn't us freeloading. We've been away for the last 5 or 6 Xmas holidays and enjoy it every time . Great walks , panto and a few meals out, much better than staying home.We always light the van up but left the tree at home this year as we only had the small awning, still think we managed a good display though ;O)

Hi folks,

Glad you all enjoyed your xmas break away. Unfortunately we couldn,t make it this year. To many hospital appointments at the beginning of January. We usually go away the day after boxing day for the New year. We are missing it already. Lets hope next year is different for us and many more people that couldn,t make this year.

Were you all trimmed up with the red lights around the front of your 'van, if so, it looked really lovely!! We were further down on the same side near the entrance to the woods- Bessacarr/Disco 3.

We have just got back today from a week at Chatsworth Park in Derbyshire. Site was excellent and it was full.

First time we have been away for Christmas, and it was the best one we have had for years!
