The description reminds me of the extrusion system used in plastics.

But I bet the extrusion system had a square/rectangular form at the outlet, not a round one capable of being manipulated to discharge square profile product. Just think if the plastic system could replicate the wombat it could potentially produce square, rectangular, triangular, crucifix, spherical or even cylindrical at the touch of a button. What a boost to a manufacturing productivity 😱
