hammock bunk - making safe for 3 year old

I am thinking of rigging up a cargo net, attaching the bottom of it to the outermost bed rail and the top to two hooks on the caravan walls. We have a Tomy bed bar already, but with a mattress on top if he put his weight on the bed bar both the bed bar and the mattress could fall off, as the...

Someone else mentioned a motorhome bunk net but I have never seen one. Searched ebay but didnt find one. Maybe its the wrong time of year!

    Toddler Bedding Arrangements

I am trying to figure out how to adapt colins idea to answer my query, which is how to stop a 3 year old falling out of the hammock bed. I cant quite picture the netting, nor how it fixes, or how to rig it up. Any suggestions? (see also my thread on the hammock bed).

hammock bunk - making safe for 3 year old

I have been racking my brains trying to think of how to fit all of us into our van now that my grandkids have come to live with us. What it boils down to is our 3 year old grandson will have to sleep in the hammock bed which fits above the single bed. For anyone not in the know, this looks...

    Cats that go caravanning

Ramblingrose, youre like me, but our cats are oldies and like to sleep all the time. But I would still be mortified if I lost one. Ann, on the collar idea, cats collars are too soft (and elasticated) really to attach a lead to, the cat would just slip the collar, they are so adept at this...

    CL's Without EHU

I think I might give these sites a go, youve talked them up for me. Unless there is a pub in short walking distance we tend to stay in and watch a dvd, with a glass or two of wine. As I have back probs I cant walk very far or stand in a crowded bar, (or sit on a stool for long). Our lights...

    Adult only site

Its easy in these forums to take things personally and take offence. Ive done it myself on another thread. I respect your defence of your family, Tina.

    Adult only site

A quick google search shows that Warners, Virgin, Butlins, Portland and Sandals all do adult only breaks/holidays/resorts/hotels. There is obviously a demand for it ... why not. People with children will always be well catered for elsewhere, its simply a matter of choice, nothing to get upset...

    Adult only site

Back to the original post, I know I would not be alone in staying I would be interested in a list of adult only sites. I wouldnt use them exclusively, but I would certainly make use of them. Are you thinking of posting them on a website? I cannot understand why there is a problem with this...

    Why Some Prefer Adult Sites

I go along with you Klarky. We need the freedom to choose adult sites or take pot luck with the kid oriented site. We used to take our kids camping years ago ... but we've done all that and want some "couple time" now they've flown the nest. I used to teach young children also, but choose to...

    caravan kettles

We have a low wattage Russell Hobbs travel kettle. Its very good. Perhaps looking at travel kettles is a good idea as they have less powerful elements, being smaller overall.
