    Winter Covers for fridge vents

I find that the fridge works more efficiently with them on in the Winter and I have always been lucky and had them supplied with the van when purchased which I don't think is so common now. My caravan manual says they should be used up to 8 degrees C. Bill

    Window bungs

Clive - I tried for weeks last year to buy some, here in Nofolk, but just couldn't find any. Even went to 2 dealers who had them in their worshops but they would not even sell me a couple. Bill

    RIP Bailey Senator 1988-2010

Apparently sales and orders have confirmed Bailey customers view of the Pegasus but it will be interesting to hear longer term comments re the build construction and better insulation. We liked the outside design as well as the internal decor and smooth light walls. We felt that it was the...

    Southern Ireland ...............................................

I travel to Southern Ireland 3/4 times a year fishing and have been doing so for about 22 years. It allows used to be the case that it was cheaper to go across the border for shopping especially fuel. Then for many years Southern Ireland was very cheap and I can well remember about 6 years ago...

    Swift Charisma 550 2009 or 2010

Apart from the Bailey camp not much happening with many 2009 to 2010 vans. A 2009 van with a good discount would be my choice. Bill

    Bailey pegasus ugly

I saw one yesterday and was very impressed I think that Baileys have done more for the caravanning production industry than they have for individual caravanners. To me if I buy a caravan that has the layout I want, doesn't ever leak or go wrong then the construction is academic. I actually...

Are swift lowering there equipment in caravans?

I think that it is important to have a list or even a mental note of the things that are important to you in the purchase of your next caravan. The required layout is an obvious but additional accessories seem to get over looked sometimes. 3 years ago I purchased my current Swift caravan and...

Calor Lite is it worth the hassle?

Never had any problems getting the CalorLite bottles at Calor depots. The depots can be downloaded to your TomTom (or equivalent) FOC and are helpful when away. For many years used 13Kg bottles but got too old to lump them around and nervous about carrying them in the car ! I don't agree with...

    Sad RIP

Really sad news and John was one of my all time heros. I only heard the item on the news this morning and went on Google to read the full story. There was a 'You Tube' video from a German TV company showing the bizarre and unlucky accident. A wheel from a crashed car that Henry was following...

    Calling All Elddis Crusader owners

Doug Not a direct answer to your question but the windows in my Swift were covered for 3 years with the warranty. Actually got one on order now and the van is 3 years old in September. Did you check ? Bill

    Freelander 2

I did some research before buying an FL2 but could find no negative comments about the safety, the drive and towing capabilities. The only negative comments were :- A bit pricey. The GS still appears to be the best value to me. A bit thirsty. Certainly worse than my X Trail but not too bad...
