I've looked into corner steady locks.. Some of them can be bypassed with a pipe wrench on the thread.. I'm looking for the type that will prevent the thread turning at all when the lock is in place.. - Millenco did one but I've not seen it on shelves or their website for a while now.

While stood at some traffic light someone in a van ran into the back of the 4x4 I had a few years ago. the driver gave his details/ took pics (as did I) and left. After all the tow ball had done more damage to the van. I phoned the number he'd given me - before he went too far out of sight...

Treloy in Newquay is a nice site, family owned and we found it to be central to everywhere we wanted to go. Just dont park in the car park by the golf course up by Fistral beach... Handy but keen on the fines !!!!

Does anyone use CB radios while they are out n about with their caravans. I know that they dont have the appeal they once had - but I'm interested to know if anyone uses them to chat to other drivers to get round traffic jams or get advice on which roads are suitable for caravans/motor homes...

It's worth knowing this titbit of info - when we did france a couple of years back we pulled off just through the first set of tolls and slept in the little truck stop with a couple of other caravaners.

I've just had a text from a friend - the caravan dealer he was at - told him that the 85% rule is "old hat" and no-longer applies... I text back for him to ask the dealer if he thought his car would pull a 6 berth twin axle. (which I know it wont as his car is a 1.6 vectra)
