    Truma pump problem

Hi John. This unit was presented to us as I've stated : the surge damper prevents any surge in water pressure reaching the onboard pipework when coupled to a water supply as on a super pitch. Obviously the supply pipe from the tap to the van has to be an Ultraflow Waterline or similar. Dave

    Truma pump problem

Hi Robert. We had the self same problem with our van (then 8 months old) at the start of a two month holiday in Scotland this year. It came to light because we did not hear the over-running,resulting in a burned out pump. We bought a new pump and, despite efforts to adjust the pressure switch...

    Stolen Recovered Caravan Purchase?

Hi. Don't fret too much about the victim. I know it sounds awful, but think about it ; they've been paid out by the insurance company and either bought a new van or spent it on something else. Do consider though, the resale value when you eventually want to sell or partx. And bear in mind the...

    removing number plate

Mel. Let's inject a bit of common sense here. As you've changed your tow car you presumably don't need the old plate to be intact; it won't matter if you break it. "Forcing" was probably the wrong word to use for the action of sliding a scraper up the back of the plate and gently working...

    removing number plate

Hi Mel. It's probably stuck on with double-sided tape/cushion tape. This is also the best stuff to stick your new plate on with. You can pick it up at most car accessory shop. To remove the old plate try forcing a wallpaper scaper up the back of the plate to cut the tape.Remove what's left...

    tv booster

We had the identical situation with ours.Less than 12months old and the best picture was via a cable direct from the ariel to the tv bypassing the booster. We took it back under warranty and the booster was replaced and is now ok. The dealer reckons that Status send out a lot of these units...

    joke

Seeing as we Yorkshire folk have taken a bit of stick on this thread (albeit in good humour and probably deserved), and as it's 1st August, may I take this opportunity to wish all my fellow countymen (and women) a very happy Yorkshire Day. Dave

    FIXED ISLAND BED

Hi Tigger. Simply for ease of maneuvering the van onto the pitch and onto the hitch. Most fixed-island bed vans are twin axles and almost impossible to turn by hand if there are only the two of you. And those that are only single axle, are still on the heavy side when kitted out to tour...
