Have you been? What did you think? Have just spent a night there. Thought it was a generally tired site and not up to usual CC standards (I appreciate it is only an associated site). Dog walk only about 50 yards long. Staff not very friendly :-( Guess it would be OK for a quick overnight...

Pembrey Park in South Wales is superb. Huge Country Park with woodland walks and one of the best (and safest) beaches in Europe right next to the site. Dogs have their own section of the beach where they are permitted all year. Plenty of things to keep any kids happy too. David

I think this anti 4x4 thing is all rather sad to be honest. I thought this was a forum to discuss caravaning but every other post seems to be about 4x4s. Many opinions are sadly expressed by people who clearly have not bothered to seek out the facts for themselves or who clearly do not think...

Roger, Do I take it that you put the same effort into campaigning against - drivers without tax, insurance and MOTs? - drivers without licences or who are banned? - young lads in souped up badly maintained hot hatches? - people who don't wear seatbelts? If I run you over in any vehicle...

Go to www.difflock.com and post a message under the Land Rover section of the technical forum. There are lots of really helpful guys on there who should be able to provide you with good advice - especially if you want some ammunition to go back to the dealer with!. David

Is it a knocking noise? Is it diesel or petrol?

There should be some differtiation here. "4x4" is too general a term. Is it then unacceptible to drive a 4 wheel drive saloon car like the Audi AllRoad then? Or a Fiat Panda 4x4? or a Volvo V70 AWD? There are "proper", capable offroad vehicles that are built for a purpose - the potential...

And why shouldn't we go offroading for fun if we are responsible?.
