Electrolux fridge with auto ignition. operation question

Thanks Guys I've sorted it , I didn't realize it has a flame inspection window like an old manual one, if you turn the orange 'ignition' switch off the flame stays lit. Sorry for the confusion about what batter the 12v runs off, it only runs off the main 'engine' battery when the engine is...

Electrolux fridge with auto ignition. operation question

Hi all I have an Electrolux 3 way fridge with the modern 12v auto ignition system. My question is, once lit can I turn the amber 12vswitch off? I've left it on with a very small amount of gas in a bottle, once the gas runs out it'll start clicking & use the leisure battery :( Cheers Gareth

new to Solar, do I need a controller?

Thanks for that, My panel is small enough to not bother the battery, its just the conflict with the mains charger that bothers me. Controllers are under £10 on eBay so I might just fit one anyway!

new to Solar, do I need a controller?

hi I've just been wiring in a battery charger to my motorhome & thought I'd also 'hard wire' my solar panel in too. Then a thought struck me. Will the solar panel be damaged when the mains charger is switched on? If so I assume a controller will solve the problem? Any advice welcome :)

    Two water system problems, HELP!

Yeah!! Finally got it sorted! Fitted the whale switch & put 20psi in the accumulator . It switches on & off nicely now. One final question, there's 20psi in thd accumulator with the water at atmospheric pressure, once I start the pump what should that increase to before the pump cuts off...

    Two water system problems, HELP!

The pump works fine with the switch by-passed the only problem is the switch in the base of it not working. Good tip on testing the resistance of the motor though ;)

    Two water system problems, HELP!

Short & to the point!! Thanks! I've got a spare whale in line pressure switch , I'll try using that& see how I get on. It's an old thing with an adjuster screw on the top but it'll be better than a new pump!

    Two water system problems, HELP!

Hi i have an on-board tank / pump / accumuilator type water system. It has two faults, 1. The pump will not run unless you by-passthe switch in the base of it. i've got it by-passed & we just use the master switch as/when we need water. Is there a common fault or easy fix to this? I think...

Caravan club CL Maximum Outfit / pitch size.

Very true Colin, I think I'm just a little defensive of my 27 year old motorhome!! Like most campers we think of our selves as considerate so I'm sure we won't upset anyone. We're off to Abersoch next week so I'll let you know how it goes!

Thanks very much, TBH we normally go for CLs & I look for ones with more space. Im just concerned that we may get asked to leave! We have a medium wheelbase Ducato coach built motorhome but the awning adds 3.2 metres to the width. Our caravan awning was only 2.5m. Just have to see how it goes!

Caravan club CL Maximum Outfit / pitch size.

Hello all. Long time no post! Over the winter we've bought a motorhome to replace the caravan. As we loved our awning we've bought a nice 'drive-away' awning. We took them to a very large & informal site to try out & I was supprised at how wide the whole lot looked once the awning was up...

Non return valve in water system

Good thinking , but I'm using the same supply, just by passing the pressure switch by cutting the wires & joining them.

Non return valve in water system

Hi. Thanks , the switch is built into the bottom of the pump. Ive got a spare whale remote switch, I suppose I could fit that & see if it works? Its annoying as it was working perfectly before i relocated the pump!
