question for you ........ is it worth paying a large premium for a dedicated wiring loom or not?

gone for the passat. bit less torque and BHP however it is similar weight and having managed to find one to borrow with a tow bar, it pulls no problems, including up the big hills in derbyshire.

having been a proud owner for about 8 years now, i still check tyres, nose weight and so on even though i can generally load up and get it about right each time. it makes me feel more reassured for the journey ahead. i am always amazed that i never see anyone else whip out the nose weight gauge...

thanks gents. the Insignia is good but with the ecoflex diesel i also find 6th not much good for cruising whilst towing. tugging in 5th it still gives around 28mpg on the M5 jaunts. one of the guys at work tows with the even less powerful passats, 106bhp? and finds it ok. still not...

I have a Vectra which has a built failure warning system, and it works very well, exept when towing. We have a Ranger GT60 which does not have a reversing light, so the system is showing a constant 'failure'. Is it easy to have a reversing light fitted?
