    Wheel nut removal

Maybe try a set of circlip pliers inserted into the diagonally opposite holes and then use a lever/screwdrive/or similar between the handle as leverage and see if it can be turned??

Cannot Get a Window off my Coachman, any tricks tips suggestions please i'm out of ideas.

I had to remove the centre window on our van a few months ago and had a similar problem. On close inspection there was the slightest outward bow on the rail itself. While I raised the window from the outside, my son went inside and gently pulled the top opening towards him. It must have only...

    Breakdown Cover Article

Just received the latest subscriber edition of Practical Caravan and the article on breakdown cover caught my eye. It might be a "staged" situation but the main photo shows what looks like an RAC chap completing a wheel change. Except that he's using a trolley jack (not in itself a problem if...

    Wastemaster, barrels, awning and poles.

I turn it on its side and it fits in the front locker. Then in front of it goes the mains lead holder and a couple of small plastic boxes for waste pipe connections and pump hose etc. Usually keep the aquaroll in the back of the car.

    Honda CR-V 1.6

Bought a 1.6 9 speed auto in March this year and in July, towed an Abbey 460 approx 800 miles with a return journey to Silverstone. Towed the same van on the same journey last year with the 2.2 idtec model which was a manual. Not that there was any problem whatsoever with the 2.2, but towing was...

    4x4 which one?

Hi Alan, The box I have is made by MAL Electronics (bought it off Ebay)although there are others on the market. Uses O.E. plugs and fits in minutes. Claims are for +30hp. There is a noticeable increase in performance, particularly at low revs although whether it amounts to 30hp I dont know...

    4x4 which one?

Hi Jim C, Not trying to kid anyone on or exagerate mpg. I too keep a running total of all fuel used. I've had the car since new and done up to today 11551 miles. Brimmed the tank this afternoon and my total fuel is now 351 gallons. Overall mpg = just under 33mpg. Done approx 1000 miles with...

    4x4 which one?

Hi Mark, I have a Senator Wyoming and have towed it with a 2.5 Sorento for almost 10 months now. Done around 12 trips with the 'van on the back. I've posted on other threads about my mpg and found it to be acceptable considering the outfit weight. Usually averages around 28-30 when towing and...

    Extension mirrors

Reg, I had the same problem with my Kia Sorento. I got round it by fitting a piece of cord with a loop at one end and a small "U" shaped clip at the other between the outward edge of the mirror and the front edge of the door. This prevents the mirror from flipping back and also stopped any...

Kia Sorento XS 2.5 Diesel Manuel

Alun Our Sorento has done just over 9000 miles and is definitely losening up as the mileage goes up. Pulls much better from low revs than when we first got it. Never need to rev it above 3000 as there's plenty of oomph in the next gear. I'm about to buy one of those tuning boxes - not that I...

Kia Sorento XS 2.5 Diesel Manuel

Hi all, Like Alun I'm really pleased with our Sorento - a 2.5CRDi manual that we bought last October. Mileagewise, I posted on another topic last week that our did just over 33mpg with a bit of towing involved. Just brimmed the tank today - did 518 miles and the light wasn't on yet, took 68.7l...

    Kia Sorento

Hi all, We've had a 2.5 XE manual since last October and found the mileage to be not too bad. Just back from a few nights at Craigie Gardens in Ayr and done just over 350 miles - around 150 of them towing a Senator Wyoming (1600kgs'ish). Always been a bit of an anorak when it comes to checking...
