My explanation was a little poor, the hammer I used was a little 1lb tap hammer. However the point has been taken on board not to use it again. On the positive side, the bar dropped out without any issues. I will buy some copper ease to see if this helps the insertion going forward.

Emailed customer services, explained my problem, they agreed to send out a replacement. So in sort well impressed with them.

Emailed Milenco, they did reply quickly, in short they are willing to replace the barrel , I just need to find my receipt from 4 years ago. 😂.

When I first bought the lock it did, however over the past 2 months it as if the barrel has slipped. I was thinking it was a manufacturing floor, but doing a quick google search can’t see any other reported issues so maybe I am doing something wrong.

I will have a play and see if I can find and then mark the position to remove the lock.

Looking on Google it is common problem with Vango.

It is a vango sonoma 350 air awning. The best way to describe is “Like a glue substance” on the inside of the awning.

So when packing the awning away you just make sure it is dry. No powder?
