YOUR TIPS FOR KEEPING INSIDE OF CARAVAN COOL.

Keep the sun off the van in the day so that it doesn't heat up, and give it out at night - close the curtains and keep windows on the sneck if going out. I like the bowl of iced water though, great tip! Keep the fly screen over the roof light as it cuts out 50% of the rays.

Caravan Club sites CHESTER FAIROAKS & LOW PARK WOOD

We had a look at Cheshire Fairoaks the other day - typically well kept and compact. Near to motorway, but not too much noise. Very close to Zoo, outlet mall and blue planet.

    Caravanning is life always smooth!!

Hi Roy - Oh how we laughed when the cover was not over the loo in the van and someone did a No 2 into the shell of the toilet. My husband laughed as he stood in freezing conditions with pink marigolds on cleaning it out. We laughed when our son peed on our mattress and my only pair of jeans...

    Sites in the lakes

Park Coppice in Coniston (CC site) was wonderful. Some of the pitches tricky to manoevre into, but easy when we unhitched and spun the van with the help of fellow caravanners. Take insect repellant!

Thank you Brian, we were thinking on the same lines as we couldn't understand how tensioning the poles would make a difference. Michele

    Penrhos CC Anglesey - Food?

After very disappointing meals out, I have yet again been consigned to the galley for the holiday. Our next trip is to Anglesey. So just to make sure I get a break from the stove - do any of you know of good, child friendly eateries nearby and any good local food outlets? Many thanks.

    a lesson to be learnt

Their problem Trevor - we like to make it a challenge, speak to everyone we meet, even if it's just a hello, it really makes some people sqirm!

Ventura Atlantic - all at sea!

Hi, has anyone had any experience of tensioning one of these awnings? Our first time out and 2 large lakes formed on the roof. Young son likened them to something unmentionable! We did re-tension, but still one appeared. Any hints please, do we need to buy a tensioner? (although the whole...

    LIGHTING STRIKE.

Hi, I too am a worrier!!! I have thought this through as we were in astorm at the last bank holiday & it focuses the mind somewhat. I reckon the car as the van has metal legs touching the ground. Cars rest on rubber so the charge would pass round the shell - much safer!

    leaky lunars

Hi We have a Lunar LX2000. It too is dry. I think that they had a problem with one year of manufacturing. It really isn't in their interest to let an issue like that go on as the market is so competitive now. As for the person who referred to it as a'leaky lunar' maybe they were just a bit...
