Taking dog to France - heartworm?

Hi We are taking our dog to the Dordogne in July. He has his passport so all sorted, until someone told me I should have him treated against heartworm. Has anyone else used a heartworm preventative product; if so which one? Also, how friendly are the French to dogs now - are they still...

    Mouldy Fridge!!

Our van is only a year old, but after the first time we used it we cleaned the fridge and then stupidly left the fridge closed for a few weeks, and when we looked - yuk, MOULD! Now despite cleaning it thoroughly (obviously not.... )with bicarbonate of soda, and leaving the door open after a...

    fixed bed tourers

    Help.sprite major

Hi We have the Sprite Alpine and are happy. Kitchen equipment is very good - great to have one electric ring on the cooker as well as the gas ones. Plenty of room in the cupboards, and useful to have a shelf (only comes with two but spares are easily available). Fixed bed a boom. It would...

    melamine mugs

We've even given up with the rest of the crockery - no melamine anywhere! Food tates so much better on proper plates - they don't add that much to the weight.

    fixed bed tourers

Hi We have the new Alpine Sprite that has just made a comback with a fixed bed. Internal length is 15' 7" and great for the two of us as we didn't want/need a large van. Only had it a couple of months but are well pleased with it. For the money it represents excellent value.

    Weekend trips

You need to take everything as you would for a week apart from your clothes and the awning. Our van is always ready to go, complete with even my make-up bag. Try to go somewhere not to far from home (we aim for 2 hours max) so we can set off straight after work on Friday. We tend to have fish...

    Differences between Swift Models

We have the new Sprite which we bought at Barrons (Firebrand) and are well pleased so far. There's only two of us now so having a fixed bed was the major criteria we were looking for. Seems to fit the bill and didn't break the bank at
