    hi Andy We tow an ABI brooklyn 490/5 2001 mtplm 1300 with a ford c-max 1.8 zetec brilliant stability. Am now upgrading to a 2.0 zetec auto for health reasons so I hope to have the same great times as in the 1.8.

    I have decided to buy a c-max 2ltr auto kerbweight 1435kgs,max tow 1300.I still think i,m right to tow a caravan mtplm 1300kgs.The van weighs only 91% of cars weight.Any comments from Lutz would be appreciated.

    I,ve been looking at c-max hand book and it gives a kerb weight of 1419kgs.I,ve worked out that I would be towing at 91-92%of cars weight.I think i,m right,any comments? Thank you for your help tony A

    Hi Scouser,we have a 1.8 zetec and average 20-24 mpg when towing.Our vans mtplm is 1300kg.Not great mileage but like all else about this car.

    My caravan is parked on my drive pointing downwards.It cant be levelled as drive is steep. Would this harm the van in any way.
