Caravan on sloping drive

My caravan is parked on my drive pointing downwards.It cant be levelled as drive is steep. Would this harm the van in any way.

I can't see how it could do any harm when the thing gets driven up and down hills.

Keeping van on the flat allows me to leave the brakes off and move the hand brake regularly to prevent anything from siezing.

Taking it that on a slope the van is held on its brakes I would make sure you carefuly check that the brakes come free and work freely. If the van is also sat in one place on the tyres for a prolonged time you also need to protect the tyres from sunlight and have them checked or this could possibly cause a blow out with weakened tyre side wall.

I'd put chocks in front of the wheels so that you can release the handbrake while it's in storage for any length of time for the same reason as Cris's. Having the caravan on a slope even has one advantage. Water can't collect on the roof which could increase the danger of leaks and damp.
