    domaine la yole Valras Plage

I havn't beeen there since the early 90's but there is room for unit, vehicle and awning on the pitch. We never had a gezebo but table and four chairs were no problem. If you put Valras plage into google maps you can see the area on sat view and use street view on the larger roads.

    Bastille Day

Last year I left Privas in the Ardeche to start the slow journey home on 15th July. I was a bit low on fuel and had concerns that I may not get any. In the event there was no problems with manned ones open everywhere I passed. The only ones shut were the small independants on rural roads.

    Waving!

Most caravanner's do not even pass the time of day with you whilst parked next to them on site so why you expect them to wave? It was/is commonplace in the motorhome world but it is getting less so as the numbers increase. Personally I miss being saluted by RAC Patrolmen.

    Stop offs on the A30

I am not sure how long you want to be on the A30 before stopping but there is a rest area at Temple {Colliford lake } which is on the left on the single lane section as you approach Bodmin.

    Route West Midlands to Dorset

If it were me I would leave the M5 at jct 25 onto A358 to it's junction with the A303. East {London ] bound on A303 to A3088 Yeovil and onto the A37 to Dorchester. The roads are good and there should be no hold up problems an a normal Friday morning.
