I've just bought my first caravan , a Bailey Pageant Provence. As my AA membership was due for renewal I gave them a call to check that my van was covered whilst towing it, and was shocked when they advised me that they only covered caravans up to 18ft in length...according to the Bailey...

I remember reading on a post on here a while ago a link to a web site (I think is was Netherlands based) that matched up cars to caravans to show how well they would tow. Does anyone know what the site address is ?

Try a Volvo S60 D5. Its a 2.4 Turbo Diesel, does 48mpg at 70mph, and weighs over 1500kg so can tow a fairly hefty van. And it's reliable as heck. Should be able to pick up a 3-4 yr old one for around
