If the vectra is a hatch or saloon & not a SRI max tow weight is 1400KG. Estate & SRI has max tow weight of 1300KG. The kerb weights in hatch & saloon range from 1342KG to 1387KG & for the estate from 1431KG to 1461KG

The new vectra 1.8lt petrol has a max. tow. weight of 1400KG but the SXI & SRI 1300Kg, a kerb weight of 1357KG to 1387KG 0n the hatchback & a nose weight of 78KG. I think Lutz may be refering to the old shape Vectra or the SXI/SRI

I dont know about the old shape vectra but the new ones have a sensor in the engine that can detect when the oil needs changing, so if the oil is dirty before its recomended service interval then it tells you on a dashboard light.

You won't have any problems with the 2.2Lt & a Baily Discovery, I tow a Discovery with the New shape vectra 1.8Lt & have no problems. It's all dependant on the campsite's electric hook-up ampage out-put. If it is low (about 3-4 amps) it will proberley not be enough but if it's high (12-13 amps)you should be OK. If it's somewhere in the middle you may have to turn other things off for the microwave to work.

Hi, I tow A Discovery 300 with a 1.8 petrol Vectra & this cope surprisingly well with it. The discovery's are very lightweight & I would have thought it would cope well.Don't change car until you have tried the one you have.
