We are looking to buy a new awning next year. We will be going to the NEC show in february. Do they discount the price at these shows or would we be better of buying from our local caravan shop, or of the internet?
I would suggest the best time to buy is at the end of the season, when dealers don't want stock hanging around thru' the winter. Awning makers seem to update their models about the same time as caravan manufacturers, and the changes are often cosmetice-new colours and the like. So, it makes sense to buy a last years madel at a massive discount.....Chances are you will still get a 2004 bargain fi you need a common size.
We tried to do the same thing at Earls Court last month, but were looking for a good deal on a porch awning. No such thing as a good deal !!! Even when we offered to by tall annex for full awning as well no one could give us any reasonable deal even then. I'm now going to look for good second hand !!!
We bought A new awning from the NEC last year. All of the Manafacturers that were displaying didnt give cash discounts as such but they were all willing to chuck freebies in. We got aliminium poles,storm tie down kit,a flap down pole and a breathable grownd sheet for the normal cost price, Which we were going to bye all of these anyway, so we save ourselves about
